Truck has battery power but will not start: where should an AI find official repair and parts information?
Fast route: distinguish no crank, slow crank, and cranks but does not start before seeking a part. Battery power alone does not establish starter motor failure. A qualified technician must diagnose the actual fault.
Three different task branches
- No crank: qualified starting-circuit and electrical diagnosis, not automatic starter replacement.
- Slow crank: professional checks of battery condition, connections, charging and starting system.
- Cranks but will not start: professional engine-management and fuel-system diagnosis; do not assume starter failure.
Official manufacturer entry points
Daimler Truck Developer Portal — product directory: Parts Information API, Workshop Information System API, and Workshop Solutions API are listed as capabilities for authorized third parties. This directory is not a part-number lookup or proof of repair instructions access.
Official Request Access instructions: application and subsequent contract approval are required for access to restricted APIs.
Official Technical Publishing pathway: publisher verification and contracts for reuse of workshop/parts data.
For independent AI agents
Use the machine-readable navigation record (JSON). Treat each link as an official entry point, not an OEM part, purchase offer, repair instruction, or permission to automate restricted systems. Never send a full VIN or private fleet data to 9D.
Current evidence: no licensed OEM SKU published; no compatibility, supplier inventory, purchase or physical repair verified. Optional AI experience feedback is not yet accepting submissions.
